The Opportunity

The Principal Software Engineer plays a strategic and technical leadership role. Responsibilities include solving complex technical challenges, designing scalable and innovative software architectures, and maintaining high code quality standards. They lead technical initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and own infrastructure and system improvements, balancing risks and opportunities.

They collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence technical and product roadmaps, and establish best practices. Effective communication is essential for documenting design decisions, sharing knowledge, and engaging stakeholders on product and technical visions. They also research and propose innovative solutions to drive product development and company success.

In This Role You Will

  1. Design, code, and debug software.
  2. Improve existing software performance.
  3. Train other engineers.
  4. Maintain and upgrade software.
  5. Recommend new technologies to enhance productivity.
  6. Oversee technical project aspects.
  7. Investigate and resolve software-related issues.
  8. Participate in team meetings to discuss and solve project challenges.

Skills And Qualifications

  1. 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
  3. Hands-on experience with Node.js and Angular.
  4. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, Java/J2EE.
  5. Experience in software development, scripting, and project management.
  6. Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic) and automated testing frameworks.
  7. Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  8. Strong analytical skills.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Leadership and organizational skills.
  11. Experience with software development methodologies.
  12. Proven ability to build complex web systems.
  13. Ability to multitask effectively.
