Principal Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer with a strong full-stack development background to lead technical initiatives and drive engineering excellence across projects. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience with MERN/MEAN stacks, Node.js, and Python, along with a solid track record of leading development teams and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of robust and scalable applications.
  • Oversee full-stack development using technologies like React.js/Angular, Node.js, and Python.
  • Guide and mentor a team of engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
  • Make strategic technical decisions, contributing to long-term product and platform vision.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align on requirements and delivery timelines.
  • Drive code quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices.
  • Implement and advocate for engineering standards, tools, and frameworks that increase team productivity.
  • Ensure system performance, scalability, and security in all delivered solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on full-stack development.
  • Expertise in MERN/MEAN stack, Node.js, and Python.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, database design (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.), and system integration.
  • Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Background in Agile/Scrum environments and tools like Jira or Confluence.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical publications are a plus.
