Plan, execute, and report Conduct Financial Crime Compliance Assurance Reviews (CFCCAR) to ensure Standard Chartered Pakistan's compliance with regulatory requirements and expectations driven by risk themes identified at the Business, Group, and Country levels.

Understand the principles and purpose of conducting CFCCARs.

Ensure all issues are discussed with relevant stakeholders, and an agreed action plan is obtained with the Management Action/Process Owner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain professional objectivity in gathering, evaluating, and communicating information about the activity or process being examined.
  • Make balanced assessments considering all relevant circumstances without undue influence.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Group's Compliance risk and control processes, and adherence to Compliance standards.
  • Provide reasonable assurance to stakeholders that client businesses and functions within Pakistan comply with regulatory requirements and policies.
  • Support and implement the vision, strategy, and leadership for CFCC Review teams, aligned with Group strategies and the Bank's growth objectives.
  • Follow defined processes to gather evidence, perform control tests, and conduct sample testing to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Identify control deficiencies and Compliance risks, quantify potential impacts, and escalate as necessary.
  • Prepare and disseminate reports for all reviews, documenting work undertaken and findings.
  • Provide objective assurance and monitoring to enhance the Group's risk management and control processes.
  • Ensure SCBPL's compliance with regulatory requirements based on risk themes at various levels.
  • Discuss and agree on review action plans with relevant stakeholders.
  • Obtain approval of reports before dissemination.
