Technical Project Manager

Location: Lahore

Reports to: Head of Product / CTO / Director of Operations

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: 5–10 years in IT Project Management (experience in Sales & Distribution domain preferred)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and technically skilled Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, development, execution, and successful delivery of our Sales & Distribution software products. The role involves active coordination with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, UI/UX, QA, Business Stakeholders, and Clients. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution:

  • Clearly define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans using tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or MS Project.
  • Manage project execution following Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management frameworks.

2. Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary liaison among business teams, technical teams, and external clients.
  • Effectively translate complex business requirements into actionable functional and technical specifications.
  • Facilitate regular progress and alignment meetings with stakeholders to ensure transparent communication.

3. Technical Coordination:

  • Collaborate closely with developers, UI/UX designers, data engineers, and QA teams to drive technical execution.
  • Ensure seamless integration of modules such as route planning, inventory tracking, retail audits, and order booking.
  • Oversee and validate API integrations with ERP, CRM, eCommerce, and other third-party platforms.
  • Proactively identify project risks, establish mitigation strategies, and maintain comprehensive issue logs.
  • Promptly resolve project bottlenecks and provide timely escalation when required.

5. Budget & Resource Management:

  • Manage and control project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to optimize resources and manage outsourced services.

6. Product Quality Assurance & User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

  • Oversee QA processes and lead comprehensive UAT efforts.
  • Ensure the product meets defined business, technical, and compliance standards prior to deployment.
  • Monitor post-launch performance, manage release updates, and coordinate timely patches and improvements.

7. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date technical and functional project documentation.
  • Regularly generate and present progress reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics to senior management and clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
  • Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum methodologies strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing mobile and web-based applications focused on Sales, Distribution, or Trade Marketing.
  • Strong familiarity with relevant technologies such as .NET, Java, React, SQL databases, AWS/Azure cloud environments, and RESTful APIs.
  • In-depth understanding of sales processes (order-to-cash cycle), retail execution strategies, merchandising practices, and distribution models.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Understanding of SaaS business models and cloud-based software deployment practices.
