YOUR ROLE

As the HR Business Partner (HRBP) for our Pakistan office, you will act as the key HR and admin representative, reporting directly to the Head of HR. While you will be based in Pakistan, your scope of responsibility extends beyond local operations to include support across our offices in Dubai, Riyadh, and Pakistan. You will provide expert guidance on people strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. This role involves managing the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and resolving employee relations matters, all while ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. Additionally, you will oversee general administration and office management to ensure smooth operations in Pakistan.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Partnerships:

  1. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, understanding local and regional business needs and aligning HR strategies to meet organizational goals.
  2. Collaborate with regional HR teams in Dubai and Riyadh to ensure consistency in HR practices across all entities.
  3. Drive organizational culture initiatives that promote inclusion, collaboration, innovation, and high-performance team culture.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:

  1. Manage end-to-end recruitment for all of our offices, ensuring alignment with business needs and organizational culture.
  2. Develop and execute workforce plans, identifying talent gaps and ensuring proactive measures to address them.
  3. Plan and conduct onboarding and orientation programs to integrate new hires effectively.

Employee Relations & Compliance:

  1. Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  2. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies, minimizing risks and ensuring best practices.

Payroll and Compensation Management:

  1. Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary disbursements and compliance with tax regulations.
  2. Oversee employee benefits administration (insurance, allowances, bonuses).
  3. Address employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions.

Performance Management and Learning and Development:

  1. Oversee the performance management cycle, providing coaching to managers and employees on goal setting, feedback, and career development.
  2. Identify skill gaps and training needs, partnering with the Head of HR to implement development programs tailored to regional and organizational requirements.
  3. Support leadership development initiatives to strengthen managerial capabilities within Watar Partners.

HR Operations:

  1. Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring efficient delivery of HR services and support to employees.
  2. Manage leave and attendance tracking, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  3. Maintain accurate employee records and HR metrics, using data insights to inform decision-making.

Office Administration and Management:

  1. Oversee general office administration including procurement and office supplies.
  2. Ensure facilities management, coordinating with service providers for workplace maintenance, security, and safety.
  3. Manage travel arrangements, event logistics, and office operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skillset

Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  2. HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is a plus.

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 6 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in an HRBP or similar role.
  2. Demonstrated experience working as an HRBP in the investment or financial services industry is highly desirable.

Desired Qualifications and Skillset:

  1. Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements in Pakistan.
  2. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
  3. Proficiency in HR systems and data analytics.
  4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering results.
  6. Knowledge of talent strategies and development practices specific to the investment industry.
  7. Understanding of employment laws and regulations in the UAE and KSA are considered strong assets.
