Role Description

The Assistant Finance Manager will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of our Travel & Tour Business Vertical, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in all financial processes. This role involves daily reconciliation of transactions, revenue tracking, cost control, financial reporting, and working closely with cross-functional teams to support business growth and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Financial Operations:

  • Monitor and reconcile Travel & Tour transactions including bookings, cancellations, refunds, and chargebacks.
  • Coordinate with banks, payment gateways, and Travel & Tour systems to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records of all Travel & Tour sales, commissions, taxes, and supplier invoices.
  • Reconcile accounts with airline consolidators, GDS systems, hotel & transport partners, and payment processors.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare periodic financial reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for sales, revenue, and expenses.
  • Support budget forecasting, profit & loss analysis, and cash flow planning.

Compliance & Controls:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and tax compliance (e.g., GST, withholding tax).
  • Support internal and external audits, and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Liaise with travel suppliers, aggregators, and service providers for payment schedules and reconciliations.
  • Resolve financial discrepancies and ensure timely settlements.

System Integration:

  • Work with IT and product teams to ensure financial data is accurately captured and reflected in Travel & Tour backend systems. Recommend improvements in financial processes and automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (ACCA/CA/CMA part-qualified preferred).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an E-commerce, or Travel industry environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, reconciliations, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
  • Familiarity with GDS (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre), Travel & Tour platforms, and payment gateways is a strong plus.
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
