Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced VoIP Engineer with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and deployment of Asterisk and Asterisk-based applications such as GoAutoDial, Vicidial, Vicibox, and FreePBX. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in VoIP systems, with a particular emphasis on troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining Asterisk and related applications to ensure robust and efficient communication solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Configuration: Lead the installation, configuration, and deployment of Asterisk and Asterisk-based applications (GoAutoDial, Vicidial, Vicibox, FreePBX), ensuring optimal performance and functionality across the system.
  • System Deployment: Plan, implement, and execute the deployment of VoIP systems, including setup, testing, and integration with existing IT infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to VoIP systems (Asterisk, Vicidial, etc.), minimizing downtime and ensuring system stability.
  • System Maintenance: Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain the health, security, and optimal performance of VoIP systems.
  • Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize VoIP system performance, addressing issues such as call quality, system reliability, and user experience.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, deployments, troubleshooting activities, and system updates for future reference and audit purposes.
  • Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to both internal teams and clients, ensuring effective use and troubleshooting of VoIP systems and applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers, IT departments, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of VoIP systems into the broader IT infrastructure.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all VoIP systems adhere to relevant industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the installation, configuration, and deployment of Asterisk and Asterisk-based applications such as GoAutoDial, Vicidial, Vicibox, and FreePBX.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Asterisk, Vicidial, and other related VoIP technologies, with experience in troubleshooting and optimizing these systems.
  • Networking Expertise: Solid understanding of networking principles such as SIP, RTP, QoS, and VoIP codecs, with the ability to address network-related issues in VoIP environments.
  • Linux Proficiency: Experience with Linux-based systems, including command-line operations, for managing and configuring Asterisk and associated applications.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Ability to create and maintain clear, detailed, and accurate technical documentation.
  • Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve collective goals and foster a positive work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Asterisk, VoIP, or related certifications are a plus.
