We are seeking creative problem-solvers eager to help our business customers scale. Reporting to the Manager of Platform Operations, a Cloud Support Engineer will engage with our largest customers daily, solving their problems and ensuring their growth on DigitalOcean. As the voice of the customer, you will influence product decisions and help build the next great cloud company

What You'll Do
  1. Respond to technical and product questions from customers via tickets, emails, chats, or calls
  2. Troubleshoot application and product issues
  3. Learn DigitalOcean systems quickly and adapt to rapid changes
  4. Collaborate and work independently within a team (we love Slack)
  5. Identify, communicate, and document process & policy improvements
  6. Manage incidents and escalations
  7. Help combat platform fraud and abuse
  8. Collaborate with other teams to enhance customer experience
  9. Assist in architecting high-availability solutions for growing and new customers
What You'll Add To DigitalOcean
  • Strong background in cloud technology and Linux systems
  • Passion for technology and customer support
  • Alignment with our brand and team culture
  • Excellent analytical skills and pattern recognition
  • Experience in Customer Success or Solutions Architecture roles
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Ability to prioritize, set expectations, and motivate team members
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge in Linux, Debian, Ubuntu, Django, etc.
  • Networking and Storage expertise
  • Experience with virtualization (KVM, Xen)
  • Experience with databases like MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB
  • Bonus: Certifications such as RHCE, CKA, CKAD
  • Bonus: Troubleshooting Kubernetes issues
