Job Summary:
The Patient Health Desk (PHD) Executive/Coordinator will be responsible for managing patient interactions, ensuring seamless coordination of healthcare services, and enhancing patient experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and a patient-centric approach to support individuals throughout their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing necessary assistance.
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, consultations, and follow-ups.
- Maintain and update patient records in the hospital information system.
- Ensure patients receive clear information about their treatment plans, procedures, and healthcare services.
- Assist with billing, insurance processing, and financial counseling for patients as needed.
- Liaise with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely services.
- Handle patient complaints and grievances professionally, escalating issues as required.
- Promote patient education initiatives and wellness programs.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
- Support hospital outreach and patient engagement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and MS Office.
- High level of professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes is a plus.
