Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Job Purpose

The Officer Mechanical will manage and execute mechanical construction activities, including conveyors, silos, steel structures, piping, and installation of rotary and stationary equipment. The role ensures safe, timely, and quality delivery of all mechanical works in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines. The position also supports commissioning, troubleshooting, and contractor coordination to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise execution of mechanical works (conveyors, silos, piping, structures, equipment installation).
  • Conduct inspections and testing to verify system quality, performance, and readiness for commissioning.
  • Perform functional testing and calibration of equipment (pumps, compressors, valves, conveyors).
  • Review QA/QC documentation and ensure compliance with project and industry standards.
  • Enforce HSE protocols during mechanical activities including hot work, rigging, confined space, and lifting.
  • Maintain site records, inspection/test reports, and daily/weekly progress updates.
  • Coordinate availability and use of materials, tools, and equipment with procurement and stores.
  • Collaborate with civil, electrical, HSE, and operations teams to resolve site challenges.
  • Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Act as first responder for breakdowns, ensuring immediate troubleshooting and repair.
Required Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong expertise in erection, alignment, and installation of rotary & stationary equipment.
  • Skilled in mechanical system inspections, testing, and fault diagnostics.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings, QA/QC documents, and equipment manuals.
  • Knowledge of bulk material handling systems (conveyors, silos, piping networks).
  • Familiar with international mechanical standards (ASME, ASTM, API).
  • Hands-on experience in HSE compliance for high-risk mechanical works.
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and contractor supervision skills.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: DAE / B.Tech / BSc Mechanical (preferred).
  • Experience: 5–10 years in industrial/mechanical project execution (conveyors, silos, piping, rotary & stationary equipment).
  • Preferred: Experience in bulk material handling, mechanical commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Pay: Rs130,000.00 - Rs160,000.00 per month
