Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer located in Islāmābād, Pakistan. The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products, conducting manual testing, and collaborating with software development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for driving and managing quality assurance of all assigned products and projects
• Implement standards and procedures, including coding best practices, peer reviews of new scripts, naming conventions, and submitting checklists for management review of scripts prior to installation
• Develop, test and maintain automated scripts promoting reusable components and maintainability
• Develop and execute Test Plans and Test Cases based on User Stories & Requirements
• Validate that scripts are performing the intended functions/test scenarios, as expected
• Execute automated scripts locally and perform failure analysis to determine root cause of failure
• Learn product functionality as needed to build product regression scripts
• Work with the Business, BA, QA and development teams to resolve any application issues found during execution.
• Prepare weekly progress reports on progress vs planned activities
• A thorough understanding of all our platforms, products and infrastructure
• Rigorous and bi-weekly scrum product releases across multiple, complex software products
• Ensuring new pages and websites is SEO friendly and SEO optimized
• Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT is mandatory (MS preferred)
• Overall, 6+ years and minimum 5 years as Software Quality Assurance Engineer
• Worked with a team of 5-10 professionals within the last 3 years where you were responsible for testing, automating and managing the quality of products and projects
• The ability to work within a team environment and with staff that is remote.
• Experience in building object repositories using Selenium Webdriver, standard & custom checkpoints, parameterization, reusable functions, recovery scenarios, descriptive programming
• Knowledge of popular Automation Frameworks such as Cucumber and SerenityBDD
• Knowledge of Project administration and JIRA
• Strong understanding of modern UI development standards (responsive web-design, load- optimization techniques, dependency management, semantic web, SEO, etc...)
• Experience with DevOps teams and working methodologies
• Be adapted to Agile and Scrum/Kanban
• Good level of Communication (Written and Verbal) in English
• Working approach of "roll up the sleeves and get it done"
