  • The Associate Manager – Fleet Operations plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet to ensure optimal efficiency, safety, and compliance. The role supports strategic planning, fleet utilization, maintenance coordination, driver performance monitoring, and cost control to enable seamless logistics and transportation services.
Position Summary:
  • The Associate Manager – Fleet Operations plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet to ensure optimal efficiency, safety, and compliance. The role supports strategic planning, fleet utilization, maintenance coordination, driver performance monitoring, and cost control to enable seamless logistics and transportation services.
Key Responsibilities:Fleet Coordination & Operations
  • Supervise and monitor daily fleet deployment and vehicle scheduling to ensure on-time delivery and pick-up operations.
  • Track fleet movements using GPS and telematics tools; proactively manage delays or deviations.
  • Collaborate with the control room and logistics planning team to optimize routing and reduce turnaround times.
Maintenance & Compliance
  • Ensure timely preventive maintenance and repairs in coordination with the workshop/fleet maintenance team.
  • Maintain updated vehicle documentation including insurance, registration, permits, and fitness certificates.
  • Implement and enforce compliance with company SOPs, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Performance & Cost Management
  • Monitor key fleet KPIs: utilization, fuel consumption, downtime, maintenance costs, etc.
  • Identify and address inefficiencies in fuel usage, route planning, or asset use.
  • Support budget planning and cost optimization initiatives for fleet operations.
Team Supervision & Coordination
  • Supervise drivers, dispatchers, and field fleet coordinators.
  • Conduct briefings, training sessions, and regular performance reviews.
  • Promote driver discipline, safety, and adherence to operational protocols.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate logs and generate reports on fleet status, breakdowns, fuel usage, and trip performance.
  • Assist in audits, investigations, and compliance reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Transportation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in fleet/logistics operations (transportation or logistics industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle types, maintenance protocols, regulatory documentation, and fleet management systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, GPS tracking software, and fleet ERP solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a logistics company will be an advantage
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel to field locations or depots as needed.
  • Familiarity with logistics operations across Pakistan will be an advantage.
