Job Description
Position Overview:
As a premier higher education institution driving innovation and excellence, NUST invites applications from accomplished academics who shall have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a flagship school focused on policy innovation, governance, and cultivating next generations of leadership.
Qualification
- PhD in a relevant social science discipline (Public Policy, IR, Strategic Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Economics, Development Studies) from a reputable HEC-recognized institute.
Publications & Experience: The candidate must have the publications and experience as per HEC criteria for faculty appointments. It is preferable to have:
- At least 10 years of academic/research experience, including at least 5 years post-PhD, in accordance with HEC criteria.
- A strong publication record in recognized, reputable journals.
- Demonstrated expertise in public policy and/or specialized policy fields such as governance, development, security, health, climate, education, or economic policy. Candidates should be able to integrate theory, empirical research, and real-world policy relevance in their work.
- Experience in curriculum development, impactful teaching including simulations, case studies, and policy labs.
- Expertise in pursuing research grants, and committed to excellence in applied research and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Terms and Conditions:
Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional). The last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.
Ineligibility Criteria:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and/or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In the process of pursuing the required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letters.
- Candidates serving in government departments or armed forces may apply after seeking NOC from their respective organizations.
- Late or incomplete applications will be ignored.
- Only short-listed candidates will be considered/called for test/interview; no TA/DA will be admissible.
- NUST reserves the right to cancel, modify, or terminate the recruitment process at any time without notice.
