Sourcing Operations Executive

PURPOSE

  • Key player in Sourcing, driving Sourcing's vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry.
  • Manage day-to-day operations collaboratively with functional counterparts in Planning, Development, Production Management, Engineering & Manufacturing Innovation, Costing, SEA, and Materials (End-To-End) for a specific country or assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage all aspects of production, quality, production availability, and manufacturing efficiency. Escalate critical issues and lead discussions to mitigate impact and resolve problems.
  • Maintain relationships with factory management, applying appropriate resources, processes, tools, and strategies to achieve operational excellence.
  • Implement adidas best practices and directives in responsible factories.
  • Influence factory production and quality middle management; drive change to meet production objectives.
  • Make daily decisions within a defined scope, balancing risks and supporting complex issues management.
  • Validate Tier 1 capacity offers and monitor availability performance, especially under constraints.
  • Support sampling processes for product development, such as Proto Samples and Size Sets.
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 suppliers on quality assurance of virtual and physical samples to meet adidas standards and reflect design intent.
  • Conduct Direct Development audits at key milestones with the Development Manager.
  • Identify and develop Create to Value (CTV) opportunities.
  • Facilitate feedback from production to development to share improvements, best practices, and risks for future development enhancement.
  • Contribute to the development of digitalized handover packages for seamless transition from development to bulk production.
  • Model leadership by fostering a culture of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, promoting an inclusive workplace.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to independently identify issues, analyze facts, and make sound decisions regarding complex production challenges, maintaining standards.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, influencing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and teamwork skills in multidimensional environments.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree in product creation or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in similar roles.
