Job description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic category management of procurement to drive significant change across Food Solutions, Business Units, and functions, supporting development of productivity initiatives, category management, sourcing strategies, and compliance.
  • Develop and manage a sourcing portfolio for raw and non-raw materials using the Collaborative Procurement Model (CPM), Category Management, and the 7-step sourcing process (7SSP).
  • Collaborate with Business Units early in the 7SSP process for analysis, sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management to maximize productivity benefits.
  • Ensure monthly reporting and governance through CPM Track updates and Evaluation/Tender Committee meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders to manage total system costs and leverage procurement strategies.
  • Manage procurement resources to prioritize tactical requirements and develop expertise within food procurement categories.
  • Maintain compliance with 7SSP and collaborate across functions and geographies to share best practices and identify sourcing opportunities.
  • Utilize analytics to analyze key categories, validate demand, and guide requisitioners.
  • Monitor key performance metrics for procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with supplier performance, risk management, and relationship teams to ensure timely feedback, audits, and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with suppliers for cost improvements aligned with category strategies.
  • Oversee procurement policies and procedures, ensuring consistent implementation across BUs and functions.
  • Facilitate stakeholder approvals to ensure proper spending commitments.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of strategic sourcing experience, preferably in FMCG, hospitality, retail, or consulting.
  • Experience in procurement, category management, and strategic sourcing processes like 7SSP.
  • Proven people management, training, and talent development skills.
  • Experience managing complex partnerships and change management projects.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Deep knowledge of category management and external market dynamics.
  • Expertise in procurement, analytics, and strategic sourcing models like CPM.
