Our firm seeks an Investment Banking Analyst for our Karachi office to conduct market research and prepare investor pitch material to help clients prepare for their fundraising rounds. In this role, it will also be your responsibility to conduct industry-specific research and stay ahead of market trends. Other tasks involve financial modeling, crafting investor pitches, and analyzing potential capital structures. You will work under more senior members of the investment banking team, so being able to take direction is essential. We highly prefer candidates with prior experience in corporate finance and have an MBA or an BA/BSc from a top institution. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply as well.

As an Investment Banking Analyst, you'll be exposed to a wide variety of clients, industries, financial services and products, and work on various integrated teams that will provide you with the necessary skills to develop, grow and thrive in Investment Banking.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform market and industry-specific research
  • Prepare investor pitch materials in Microsoft Powerpoint and Word
  • Develop and audit sophisticated financial models
  • Communicate and collaborate with other members of the investment banking team
  • Conduct due diligence and make recommendations about potential investment opportunities
  • Prepare offering memoranda and marketing materials

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field
  • CFA/CA designation or progress towards completion (preferred)
  • Excellent Excel skills (Macros and VBA preferred but not required)
  • Strong PowerPoint skills; ability to convert information into concise presentation
  • Expertise in one or more related industries
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Analytical, decision-making, and investigative skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently on projects
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet established deadlines
