Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated Product Sourcing & Market Research Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough research to identify high-potential products for import, evaluating suppliers, and performing detailed market analysis to ensure that our products are competitively priced and meet market demands. This role is crucial to driving the success of our import strategy and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Research & Sourcing: Research global markets to identify high-demand products that align with business needs and consumer trends. Source reliable suppliers, establish strong supplier relationships, and negotiate favorable terms for product procurement.
  2. Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to understand customer preferences, pricing strategies, and competition. Use this information to identify pricing opportunities and create competitive pricing models for imported products.
  3. Costing & Profitability Analysis: Analyze import costs, including shipping, customs duties, taxes, and other relevant fees, to ensure profitability. Provide detailed reports on cost structures, pricing strategies, and margin projections.
  4. Vendor and Supplier Relationship Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers. Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers to ensure product quality, timely delivery, and compliance with company standards.
  5. Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor competitors' products, pricing, and market trends. Use competitive insights to adjust sourcing strategies and ensure our products remain competitive in the market.
  6. Sales and Market Forecasting: Provide actionable insights based on market research, helping to predict sales potential and product demand. Collaborate with sales teams to align product offerings with market needs.
  7. Reporting & Presentation: Prepare detailed reports on product feasibility, market trends, supplier evaluations, and cost analysis. Present findings and strategic recommendations to management for decision-making.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  2. 2+ years of experience in product sourcing, market research, or international trade.
  3. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  5. Experience with market research tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.) is a plus.
  6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Desired Skills:

  1. Knowledge of international trade regulations, shipping logistics, and import/export operations.
  2. Familiarity with cost modeling and pricing strategies.
  3. Previous experience in sourcing products and managing vendor relationships.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
