EZ Estimating is a leading provider of construction cost estimation and material takeoff services for contractors, builders, and architects across the U.S. Our mission is to help our clients win more bids with fast, accurate, and engineer-reviewed estimates for all 16 CSI divisions.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our growing remote team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience preparing material takeoffs and cost estimates based on CSI divisions, with a strong understanding of residential and commercial construction practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates from construction drawings
  • Analyze and interpret construction plans, specs, and project scopes
  • Prepare and organize estimates by CSI divisions (Div 01–16)
  • Use PlanSwift or equivalent software to produce digital takeoffs
  • Collaborate with our internal team for quality assurance and delivery
  • Meet project deadlines with a strong sense of accountability

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Proficiency in PlanSwift or other takeoff software
  • Strong understanding of CSI division formatting and construction systems
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently

Nice to Have:

  • Background in civil engineering, architecture, or construction management
  • Experience in U.S. residential and commercial projects
  • Familiarity with international codes and pricing databases (RSMeans, etc.)
