Role and Responsibilities

  • Act as SPOC for the solutions/applications being developed, interacting with the client.
  • Participate in scoping, estimating efforts, etc.
  • Collaborate in coming up with milestone plans, key deliverables, assumptions, commercials, and dependencies, etc.
  • Collaborate and develop an OMS strategy that encompasses the goals of a client.
  • Drive solution architecture and design, maintaining efficiency, reusability, and customizations.
  • Take critical technical decisions to meet client expectations.
  • Define best practices and standards.
  • Define the code review process for the team to follow and perform code reviews for customizations.
  • Ensure that the team maintains a high level of technical competence.
  • Thought leadership - identify business problems and develop ideas to build solutions & frameworks to offer to clients and monetize.
  • Generate and execute skill-building plans.
  • Assist in hiring the right talent.
  • Motivate and mentor team members.
  • Contribute to white papers, blogs, case studies, e-books, etc.
  • Contribute to presales and practice-related activities.
  • Monitor and optimize OMS performance to handle peak loads, minimize latency, and ensure seamless user experience.
  • Lead OMS integration with other critical systems like ERP, CRM, WMS, payment gateways, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Customize the OMS platform to meet specific business requirements, including order workflows, payment processing, shipping rules, inventory management, order routing, returns, and exchanges.

Skills and Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in OMS (such as IBM Sterling, Kibo, Salesforce OMS, Deck commerce, etc.), and Java / J2EE, JavaScript, XML, XSLT.
  • Experience in IBM Sterling is mandatory.
  • Proficiency with web services (REST & SOAP).
  • Strong experience in designing medium to large enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, RabbitMQ, JMS, etc.).
  • Exposure to Authentication, Authorization, SSO using JWT, OAuth, SAML.
  • Experience in pre-sales, defining end-to-end solution architecture, and driving proposals.
  • Experience in retail and e-commerce domains.
  • Experience in code refactoring and performance tuning.
  • Implementation experience with Test Driven Development, Domain Driven Design, and clean code principles.
  • Client-facing experience and familiarity with matrix organizations & onsite-offshore models.
  • Experience with estimation techniques like use-case, FP, story points.
  • Ability to create presentations and demos for customers and management.
  • Mandatory experience in Agile execution methodology.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in practice-related activities such as developing POCs, accelerators, evaluating tools/frameworks, and contributing to marketing materials.
