Position Related

We are looking for an experienced accountant with expert knowledge of Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC) at administrator level. The candidate will manage Telenor Group's financial consolidation and reporting application on Oracle Cloud EPM. The role blends IT and accounting skills, crucial for our financial operations. The IT Accountant will also play a key role in implementing ESG reporting using EPM.

The IT Accountant will be part of the Record to Report (R2R) team in Telenor Shared Services, supporting the use, management, and development of financial consolidation and reporting applications across the Telenor Group.

Your typical day at workFinancial Data Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor financial data to identify and resolve errors proactively, ensuring accuracy before end users detect them.
• Prepare and maintain a comprehensive quality control checklist.
• Contribute to efficient processes for accurate and timely financial reporting across TSS, BUs, and Group Units.
• Act as a liaison between IT and accounting teams, bridging competencies to enhance stakeholder value.
• Participate in FCC discussions and projects, driving improvements in the financial close and consolidation process.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for financial close and consolidation processes.
• Operate and manage the Group's financial consolidation and reporting applications.
• Support and maintain the ESG reporting solution on Oracle EPM Cloud.
• Update and manage master data hierarchies for Group reporting.
• Implement functional changes and ensure data reconciliation between applications and source systems.
• Track and document all system updates from vendors.

Process Improvement & Optimization

• Recommend and implement best practices to optimize workflows and system configurations.
• Ensure compliance of application configurations with evolving IFRS reporting standards.
• Align system functionalities with business requirements and finance best practices.
• Stay updated on Oracle EPM Cloud advancements and suggest relevant features or updates.
• Support ESG reporting implementation on Oracle EPM Cloud.

User Training & Documentation

• Develop and maintain user guides, SOPs, and technical documentation.
• Train finance and IT teams to utilize Oracle EPM Cloud applications effectively.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, test cases, and environments.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational compliance standards.
• Proactively monitor and mitigate system vulnerabilities to reduce risks.

Eligibility CriteriaEducation

• CA / CA finalist / ACCA Member / ICMA qualification.
• Strong knowledge of corporate accounting (IFRS).
• Oracle certifications in EPM preferred.

Work Experience

• In-depth knowledge of legislation and international standards for corporate accounting and financial consolidation in a multinational listed entity.
• Thorough understanding of financial reporting processes in large corporations.
• Excellent working knowledge of Oracle Cloud EPM / FCC.

Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas

• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM).
• Experience with FCC/Task Manager, EPM Automate, Cloud EPM Data Management.
• Familiarity with other Cloud EPM platforms like Planning and Tax Reporting.
• Willingness to handle design, development, maintenance, and error resolution tasks.
• Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and under pressure.
