What You'll Do As a Senior Billing Coordinator

Employees in this role are expected to use their independent judgment and demonstrate intellectual abilities in decision-making. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

  • Process all relevant customer invoices daily with 100% accuracy.
  • Resolve and respond to all rejected invoices promptly.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts to ensure proper billing and payment.
  • Train and mentor new and junior team members, assisting with complex issues.
  • Prepare accurate daily, weekly, or monthly billing spreadsheets.
  • Handle various forms of billing (paper, electronic, manual) as needed.
  • Provide daily departmental support and training to junior staff.
  • Manage issues from the Credit email boxes, communicating with customers, Credit, and Sales teams.
  • Encourage customers to switch to electronic billing methods to reduce costs and prevent lost invoices.
  • Research and resolve billing problems, understanding system requirements and coordinating with customers and sales.
  • Reconcile and maintain specific customer accounts, including emailing end users, resolving issues, processing credits, and applying payments.
  • Process emails related to tax-exempt credits, understanding taxation in different states, and collaborating with Sales and Tax Managers.
Education/Certification

ACCA, MBA, BBA in Finance & Accounting, or related fields.

Required Experience
  • 3-5 years in Credit, Collection, or Billing roles, emphasizing electronic billing and payment posting.
  • Advanced knowledge of billing systems and ERP software; experience with MS D365 (CE/FNO) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other computer skills.
  • Strong ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in email etiquette.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and anticipate issues.
  • Experience in training and mentoring junior staff, reviewing team tasks for accuracy.
