As the company expands its footprint and sharpens its competitive edge, we are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Head of Washing Plant to lead its high-output operations. With daily capacities exceeding 60,000 pieces, garment dyeing at 15,000 pieces, and 100,000+ denim enzyme washes, this is a mission-critical leadership role with full accountability for the plant's P&L, strategic direction, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

P&L Leadership & Business Strategy

  • Take complete ownership of the washing plant's profitability, cost control, and revenue contribution.
  • Drive continuous improvements in operational efficiency, resource utilization, and ROI.
  • Develop strategic business plans aligned with broader organizational goals, including capacity planning, technological upgrades, and market-driven process innovation.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the washing plant, ensuring productivity, quality, and timely delivery targets are consistently met.
  • Standardize and optimize processes across denim, knit, and garment dye operations to achieve maximum output with minimal waste.
  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma practices to improve throughput and reduce costs.

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and inspire a large multidisciplinary team of supervisors, technicians, and machine operators.
  • Build a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs, regular reviews, and talent development programs.
  • Coach and mentor future leaders within the plant; foster cross-functional collaboration with design, merchandising, and production teams.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure stringent quality control protocols to deliver consistent, high-grade finishes.
  • Uphold environmental, social, and regulatory compliance standards with a strong focus on sustainable operations.
  • Spearhead green initiatives within the washing unit and maintain alignment with global compliance benchmarks.

Candidate Profile

  • Educational Qualification: Degree in Chemistry or related discipline. Professional certifications in production management or lean manufacturing will be an added advantage.
  • Experience: 12–15 years in apparel manufacturing with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing denim/garment washing operations.
  • Business Acumen: Proven P&L accountability, budgeting skills, and a track record of operational transformation.
  • Leadership Style: Visionary leader with a hands-on approach, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
