Director of Professional Services

As the Director of Professional Services, you will lead a portfolio of projects with over 100 people, taking full ownership of P&L and driving profitability through effective project management, client relations, and team leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of fixed-price projects while managing risks and customer satisfaction. In addition, you will lead pre-sales activities, strategizing and creating winning bids by aligning business needs with our service offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of P&L: Take full ownership of P&L for your portfolio of projects, managing teams of 100+ people and ensuring profitability.
• GM and Fixed-Price Delivery: Ensure Gross Margin (GM) and profitability of fixed-price projects through efficient timeline management, risk mitigation, and customer relationship management.
• Pre-sales Leadership: Lead and strategize pre-sales activities independently. Engage relevant SMEs as needed, ensuring a deep understanding of customer business needs to create winning bids.
• Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of up to 5 project managers, including people management responsibilities. Drive excellence in project execution and operational efficiency.
• Talent Acquisition: Actively recruit and hire top talent to support existing projects and secure new talent augmentation engagements, ensuring scalability and talent retention.
• Customer & Internal Relationship Management: Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and internal teams, including HR, Finance, and Administration, to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Financial Acumen: Analyze income statements and key financial KPIs, including GM and contribution margin, to drive decisions that enhance financial performance.
• Continuous Learning & Technology Adoption: Exhibit a strong desire to continuously learn and adopt new technologies to stay ahead in the market.
• GenAI Enthusiasm: A strong passion for GenAI is essential, with a focus on ethically and legally using GenAI tools to improve personal and team efficiency.
• Independent Leadership: Demonstrate the ability to work independently, driving initiatives without the need for follow-ups or reminders.
• Software Delivery Expertise: Proven experience in delivering large-scale software projects for global customers with exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Agile Framework Mastery: Deep understanding and practical experience with SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software project delivery, with a strong background in managing large global customer accounts.
• Proven track record in leading large teams, driving project profitability, and delivering successful customer engagements.
• Expertise in financial management, including understanding income statements, Gross Margin, and contribution margin.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to drive P&L.
