Overview

Software Developer II - Appian role at S&P Global. This position is part of a global team focused on workflow digitization using Appian, a low-code automation platform.

Responsibilities
  • Design, architecture, and development of highly scalable workflow automation projects
  • Work as a senior developer with extensive hands-on development for the entire SDLC
  • Collaborate with Development Team, Scrum Master, Product Owner, and technology partners to understand and clarify requirements
  • Analyze, isolate issues, and resolve them
  • Produce system design documents and lead technical walkthroughs
  • Continuously improve the architecture and quality of the code
  • Deliver high quality software to customers as a contributing member of an Agile Scrum team
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s / Master\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in application development using Java technologies
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript, Database, Data Structures, SQL Server, Web APIs, Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient with SDLC methodologies like Agile, Scrum
  • Python, OData APIs, SQL for XML, Front end Development, BPM, LDAP, SAML
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies
  • Familiarity with web services, FTP, JMS, and other web integration technologies
  • Robotic Process Automation experience
  • Knowledgeable in building software in the Financial Industry and Capital Markets
