We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backup & Storage Engineer to join our team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and support of backup and storage solutions. This role requires in-depth technical expertise in data protection technologies and a proactive approach to ensuring data availability, integrity, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily backup activities to ensure successful completion and compliance with defined SLAs.
  • Execute routine backup policy updates and maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in planning, reviewing, and implementing approved changes through change management processes.
  • Assist in backup and storage capacity planning, forecasting, and performance tuning.
  • Contribute to technical planning for future infrastructure enhancements and initiatives.
  • Ensure timely restoration of data based on agreed-upon timelines with stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update operational documentation, client-specific procedures, and runbooks.
  • Develop and maintain best practices for backup operations, storage management, and Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR).
  • Perform and support daily operational tasks received from client-side management.
  • Provide support for incident and problem management, including participation in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as required.
  • Ensure data protection strategies are aligned with business continuity objectives.

  • Hands-on experience with Dell Data Protection suite including:
  • PowerProtect Data Domain
  • PowerProtect Cyber Recovery
  • Dell ECS
