SMCSE Solutions is looking for an experienced and skilled Server Administrator. As a Server Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of the organization's server infrastructure. You will ensure the smooth operation of servers, networks, and related systems to meet business requirements and maintain high availability and performance.

Job Responsibilities :


• Install and configure software, hardware and networks.


• Regular Monitoring of server.


• Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.


• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.


• Troubleshoot issues and outages.


• Identify system requirements and install upgrades.


• Maintains, secure and upgrade a web system.


• Create and moniter a backup and safeguard the data.


• Perform account setup for new and old employees.


• Track emerging technologies and implement them in the organization.


• Manage network servers and technology tools.


• Set up accounts and workstations.


• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.


• Upgrade systems with new releases and models.


• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.


• Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.

Job Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.


• Minimum experience of 1 year as a Server Administrator or similar role, with a strong background in server administration, network infrastructure, and system security.


• Proficiency in server operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).


• Familiarity with networking protocols, services, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).


• Knowledge of server hardware, storage systems, and backup/recovery solutions.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.


• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE, CCNA) are a plus

Job Title: Server Administrator

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Onsite, Lahore (DHA Phase 2)

Weekly Hours: 45h/w

Office timings: 11:00am-6:00pm with one hour break (+2 flexible hours may required at night)
