We are looking for an experienced Head of Technical Apps to lead our application development teams. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to ensure the successful execution of mobile projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for team management, process optimization, project delivery, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Android and iOS developers
• Set clear objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a high-performance culture
• Build a strong team by identifying skill gaps and hiring top talent
• Drive a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability
• Technical Oversight & Architecture
• Oversee the technical architecture and development processes for Android and iOS platforms
• Ensure best practices in coding, app performance optimization, and security
• Guide the team in adopting scalable architectures, clean code principles, and modern development methodologies
• Stay updated with the latest trends in mobile development, SDKs, frameworks, and tools
• Encourage the integration of AI-powered features in mobile applications, such as chatbots, recommendation engines, predictive analytics, and automation
• Project & Product Management
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver high-quality apps
• Manage project timelines, sprints, and feature releases, ensuring on-time delivery
• Implement Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban to improve efficiency
• Identify potential bottlenecks, risks, and dependencies and proactively address them
• Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Backend, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless app performance
• Align technical roadmaps with business goals and product strategies
• Coordinate with marketing and analytics teams to implement data-driven decision-making
• Performance Optimization & Quality Assurance
• Drive initiatives to improve app performance, user experience, and crash-free rates
• Implement robust testing strategies, including unit testing, automated UI testing, and CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure compliance with App Store and Google Play guidelines for smooth app approvals
  
  

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in mobile development (Android & iOS), with at least 3+ years in a leadership role
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java (Android) and Swift, Objective-C
• Proficiency in Android Jetpack, MVVM, Room Database, and iOS frameworks like SwiftUI, CoreData
• Experience with third-party SDK integrations, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Firebase, and push notifications
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Firebase
• Experience in integrating AI and machine learning models into mobile applications is a big plus
  
  

Leadership & Management Skills:

• Proven ability to lead and mentor mobile development teams
• Strong experience in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies
• Track record of successfully delivering complex mobile applications
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously
