The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-Facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. The department has 120 full-time and part-time faculty with a strong commitment towards teaching and research. Formal structured undergraduate teaching, postgraduate residency and fellowship programmes are integrated into the academic functions of the department.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Senior Instructor (Dental Surgery) in the Department of Surgery.

Responsibilities

You will have an independent consultant status and undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities.

Requirements

You must have completed a structured post-graduate training programme in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from a reputable institution and possess FCPS, FDSRCS/ FFDRCSI/ FDSRACS/ FRCD, Diplomate American Board or equivalent qualification. 

You should have a minimum of two years of post-terminal qualification experience as a fellow/ faculty in a reputable institution and should have demonstrated scholarship through research, publications and/or contribution to dental education.
