Applications are invited for the following contract-based teaching positions at Government College University, Faisalabad, Layyah Campus, from Pakistani nationals on a lump sum pay package. Candidates must meet the qualifications and experience detailed below:
Positions- Assistant Professor on a five-year contract basis (consolidated salary Rs. 60,000/month, negotiable for higher qualifications/experience):
Soil Science (1), Animal Husbandry (1), Agronomy (1), Botany (1), Zoology (1), English (1), Islamic Studies (1), Computer Science (1), Physics (1) - Lecturer on a five-year contract basis (consolidated salary Rs. 40,000/month, negotiable for higher qualifications/experience):

- Age Limit: 21-35 years
- Minimum Qualification: First Class Master's Degree or equivalent in relevant field with no 3rd division, from HEC recognized university. Higher degrees like M.Phil/Ph.D. are preferred, with specific conditions on divisions.
- Experience: None required
- Minimum Publications: Not specified
- Age Limit: 30-45 years
- Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant field or equivalent from HEC recognized university; or master's/M.Phil. with 4 years teaching/research experience.
- Experience: 4 years in recognized university or professional experience in relevant field.
- Lecturer: Same as other disciplines, age 21-35, qualification in relevant field with no 3rd division.
- Assistant Professor: Age 30-45, master's or Ph.D. in relevant field, with 2 years teaching/research or professional experience, or none if holding a Ph.D.
- The application form can be downloaded from the university website. Submit with a demand draft of Rs. 700/- payable to the Treasurer, GCU Faisalabad. Request for form by post should include a self-addressed large envelope with Rs. 30/- postage stamps.
- Applications from abroad should include attested copies of degrees and experience certificates.
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
- Applications must be in triplicate on prescribed form, reaching the Additional Registrar (Recruitment) by 30.09.2013.
- Already employed candidates should apply through proper channels.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.
- Teaching experience in affiliated colleges may grant age relaxation up to five years.
- Preference will be given to highly qualified and local candidates.
- The university is not responsible for delays in communication.
- No TA/DA will be provided for interviews.
- Selected candidates will be employees of Al-Abbas Bhatti Trust Layyah.
