Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: Lahore

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy functional and secure networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN).
  • Configure and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Provide Level 2/3 technical support to customers for network-related issues as per SLA.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations and changes.
  • Responsible for creating HLD (High-Level Design) and LLD (Low-Level Design)
  • Support in network security measures and updates.
  • Assist with system upgrades, patches, and backups.
  • Coordinate with vendors and customers when required.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to support network-related tasks and projects
  • Participate in routine audits and system health checks.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 2-3 years' experience in Network field.
  • 16 years of education in Computer sciences or relevant field
  • Professional level certification in Cisco/Huawei/H3C/Fortinet
  • Deep knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP,
  • Advanced switching concepts: STP, MSTP, VTP, EtherChannel, VPC/MLAG, VLANs, QoS, VPC, MLAG
  • HA Protocols VRRP, HSRP, CSS, iStacking
  • VLANs, trunking, and subnetting.
  • Network Address Translation (NAT), Access Control Lists (ACLs).
  • Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers (Cisco, Huawei, F5, Fortinet, etc.).
  • Firewalls, VPNs (IPSec, SSL), IDS/IPS.
  • Access control, port security, AAA.
  • Experience with tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix.
  • SNMP, NetFlow analysis.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of wireless networks.
  • Knowledge of SDWAN and Network virtualization is plus point
