About the RoleThe Receptionist (Inpatient) will be responsible for greeting patients, managing communications, coordinating with departments, handling payments, maintaining records, and providing administrative support within the Children's Hospital inpatient unit.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors politely and provide support
- Ensure timely communication using current technology
- Place meal orders for patients as per physicians' instructions
- Coordinate with Bed Management and Admission departments for patient referrals and transfers
- Manage receipt of payments through cash, cards, and cheques
- Maintain data and records according to guidelines
- Assist in maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of the unit
- Ensure availability of forms and stationery
- Support quality audits and keep ward manuals and records updated
- Act as a unit coordinator when assigned
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum one year of experience in front desk or customer service roles
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and work effectively both independently and in teams
- Ability to handle stressful situations and meet deadlines
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Willingness to work in COVID wards and critical care areas
- Availability to work all shifts, including mornings, evenings, and nights
