Job Overview:

We are looking for a technically sound and strategically minded Network Engineer to lead solution design and proposal development for enterprise IT infrastructure and software solutions. Based in Papua New Guinea, the ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging customer needs with technical solutions and ensuring our offerings are competitive, customized, and value-driven. Certifications in Cisco and SolarWinds are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead presales engagements, working closely with sales and technical teams to design end-to-end IT solutions.
  • Gather and analyze client requirements to recommend the best-fit hardware and software products.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, architecture designs, and product presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure accurate configurations, compatibility, and pricing.
  • Support the sales team in customer meetings, RFP responses, and solution demonstrations.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are viable, scalable, and aligned with the latest technology trends.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of Cisco and SolarWinds technologies, licensing models, and deployment practices.
  • Assist in proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives, pilot implementations, and technical due diligence.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Professional certifications in Cisco (CCNP or higher) and SolarWinds (e.g., SCP – SolarWinds Certified Professional).
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, monitoring tools, and enterprise solutions.
  • Hands-on experience designing solutions for data centers, cloud environments, and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and proposal writing skills.
  • Proficiency in solution design tools, MS Office Suite, and documentation platforms.
  • Experience working in or with clients in Papua New Guinea or the Pacific region is a plus
