Tax & Accounting Associate (UAE VAT)

- ACCA/ CA / CPA / CMA qualified or pursuing.
- Proficient in VAT and Tax Computations.
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an accounting firm.
- Excellent knowledge of Accounting standards.
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with quality standards, quality assurance policies, and procedures.
- Proficient in English.
- Interact proactively with clients to address inquiries, concerns, and issues.
- Conduct in-depth interviews to understand clients' financial situations.
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Recommend financial products and services suited to clients' needs.
- Advise clients on laws related to VAT, CT, AML, ESR, UBO, etc.
- Stay updated with tax laws and regulations, providing current guidance.
- Assist clients in understanding and complying with tax requirements to minimize penalties.
- Calculate taxes accurately following tax codes and regulations.
- Prepare various tax returns for individuals and small businesses.
- Help clients leverage tax codes to maximize benefits.
- Identify deductions and credits to minimize tax liabilities.
- Oversee VAT and CT registration requirements and thresholds.
- Verify past tax returns and ensure records are reconciled.
- Refer to tax law resources for complex returns to ensure compliance.
- Manage bookkeeping tasks, including payables and receivables.
- Maintain Petty Cash and coordinate bank deposits.
- Keep meticulous records of client accounts for accuracy and compliance.
- Review financial records, including income statements and expenses.
- Update financial trackers and databases regularly.
- Ensure tracking systems are accurate and accessible.
- Use electronic filing software for tax return preparation and filing.
- Provide clients with copies of their completed tax returns.
- Prepare periodic reports for management.
