Role & Responsibilities
- Own the full Upwork sales cycle: profile optimization, bid strategy, proposal submission, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Generate and qualify leads via Upwork search filters, job feeds, and client outreach to build a robust opportunity pipeline.
- Craft persuasive, customized proposals that highlight technical capabilities, pricing, and delivery timelines, driving a 30%+ win rate.
- Conduct discovery calls, understand client pain points, and translate requirements into actionable statements of work.
- Collaborate with delivery, finance, and legal teams to prepare project scopes, contracts, and payment milestones.
- Track KPIs—response time, interview rate, contract value—in CRM dashboards and present weekly performance insights to leadership.
Must-Have
- 2–4 years selling IT or digital services on Upwork or similar freelance platforms.
- Proven success meeting monthly revenue targets of USD 10k or higher.
- Expertise in crafting high-impact proposals and conducting virtual client interviews.
- Strong verbal and written English; ability to simplify technical concepts.
- Hands-on with HubSpot, Pipedrive, or comparable CRM for pipeline tracking.
- Familiarity with agile software development life cycles and common tech stacks.
- Experience upselling ongoing maintenance or retainer agreements.
- Knowledge of SEO, content, or design services market dynamics.
