Job Brief
We are looking for a self-driven Lead Software Engineer (Java) who is excited to learn and improve his/her skillset in the ever-evolving world of Java.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
  2. Ensure adherence to engineering processes such as code reviews, source control, and unit testing, use case analysis, defect management, continuous integration and deployment.
  3. Work closely with the Project Managers in providing technical solutions and innovative ideas to cater to project needs.
  4. Develop existing systems by analyzing and identifying areas for modification.
  5. Update job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  6. Integrate applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.
  7. Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
  8. Responsible for development of new programs, analyzing current programs and processes, and making recommendations which yield a more cost-effective product.
  9. Provide recommendations to management concerning issues of programmer productivity and software development management.
  10. Supports teams by developing documentation and assistance tools.
Job Specification

Required Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience as back end developer.
  2. Good knowledge of Core JAVA, OOP and Data structures.
  3. Extensive web development experience in JAVA.
  4. Reasonable knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git, SVN).
  5. Excellent knowledge of Design patterns and best practices for coding styles, standard naming conventions, security, etc.
  6. Good understanding of Agile Web development using Java, Spring, Hibernate and SQL.
  7. Team player and is flexible.
  8. Good knowledge of Databases (RDBMS, noSQL).
  9. Good knowledge of AWS.
  10. Good proficiency in J2EE (e.g. Web Services, JSPs, EJBs, JTA, JPA).
