Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our project management team in delivering high-quality IT projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of project management principles. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, tracking project progress, and ensuring timely project completion. The Assistant Project Manager will be key in facilitating effective communication, maintaining project documentation, and supporting senior project managers in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:


• Assist in Project Planning and Execution: Support project managers in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, and assist in the development of detailed project plans.


• Coordinate with Teams: Act as a liaison between various departments (e.g., development, QA, operations) to ensure alignment on project objectives and schedules.


• Monitor Progress: Track project milestones and deliverables, helping to identify risks or bottlenecks. Provide regular updates to the project manager.


• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, schedules, and status reports.


• Client and Stakeholder Communication: Support communication with clients and stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress, changes, and any risks.


• Resource Management: Assist in resource allocation and scheduling to ensure that the project team is adequately supported.


• Quality Control: Work with QA teams to ensure that deliverables meet the required standards before final submission.


• Budget Monitoring: Assist in tracking project budgets and financials to keep projects within the allocated funds.


• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting adjustments to streamline project workflows.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degreein Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experiencein a project coordinator or assistant project management role, preferably in the IT industry.


• Strong understanding ofproject management methodologies(e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).


• Proficient withproject management toolssuch as Jira, Asana, MS Project, or Trello.


• Exceptionalcommunication and interpersonal skillsto collaborate effectively across teams.


• Strongorganisational and multitasking abilitiesto manage various project aspects.


• Knowledge ofbasic IT concepts and software development lifecyclesis a plus.


• PMP, CAPM, orScrum Master Certificationis a bonus but not required.
