Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan Interwood Mobel (Pvt) Ltd. Full time

To ensure product quality at all stages—raw material receipt, in-process production, and final inspection—by implementing rigorous quality standards, supervising inspection activities, and driving corrective and preventive actions to meet Interwood's quality benchmarks and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor quality procedures, standards, and specifications across all production stages, ensuring alignment with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Conduct and supervise inspections for raw materials, in-process components, final products, and pre-delivery warehouse checks, ensuring compliance with defined acceptance/rejection criteria.
  • Manage timely testing and documentation, ensuring accurate records of inspection reports, deviations, and rework logs are maintained and analyzed.
  • Coordinate with production, design, SCM, and other departments to proactively address quality deviations and implement timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Liaise with suppliers on material quality issues, participate in supplier audits, and support resolution of non-compliance through feedback and quality improvements.
  • Ensure regular calibration of all QC instruments, maintain updated calibration certificates, and verify measurement accuracy during inspections.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), analyze root causes of rejections or reworks (internal/external), and track resolution effectiveness.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to assess product performance and suggest process improvements aligned with customer expectations and international standards.
  • Maintain and update all QC documentation, support internal and external audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and organizational requirements.
  • Supervise and train QC inspectors, allocate daily tasks, support performance evaluations, and contribute to recruitment and capability development of the QA/QC team

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Wood Technology or related discipline)
  • Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.) will be a strong advantage
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in quality control/assurance within the furniture or wood manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality inspection processes and woodworking materials (MDF, solid wood, veneer, etc.)
  • Familiarity with QA tools (e.g., root cause analysis, Pareto charts, CAPA)
  • Proficiency in handling QC instruments and documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for supplier coordination
  • Ability to lead and coach quality teams
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and audit protocols
