
Associate (Grants Management & Payroll)

This role is responsible for handling all grants activities related to the expenditure of manpower (EOM). This role also serves as the primary point of contact (POC) for both external stakeholders (grantors and their appointed auditors) and internal stakeholders (Finance, Office of Research, and Principal Investigators). He/She will also support payroll operations and system automation projects.
Responsibilities
Main Duty - Grants Management
The activities include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure timely and accurate EOM claims submissions (Quarterly, Bi-yearly)
Handle audit field work
Reconcile all EOM-related postings and clear outstanding charging
Support EOM simulations, grant switches, etc., based on projected EOM and known budget utilization
Clarify enquiries with the stakeholders
Other Duties - Payroll Operations & System Automation
Assist in payroll reconciliation, reporting and analytics
Prepare monthly manual journal postings and ad hoc adjustments due to late instructions or unforeseen situations
Liaise with both internal and external auditors on payroll audits & related areas of work
Participate in payroll projects and work with the team in new system project implementation to improve efficiency and effectiveness through automation.
Requirements
Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resource or Accounting, Businesses etc.
Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in Singapore Payroll
Proficient in MS Excel
Understanding of accounting principles, experience in General Ledger accounts manual journal preparations is preferred
Organized and detail-oriented
