Job Summary:

The Lab Engineer at the eMobility R&D Center plays a critical role in supporting the research, testing, and validation of electric vehicles (EVs), battery systems, and related technologies. This role involves hands-on work with instrumentation, testing equipment, and data acquisition systems in a laboratory setting focused on innovation and compliance with international EV standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct performance, safety, and endurance testing of batteries, cells, powertrains, and EV subsystems.
  • Support testing and validation of 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler electric vehicles.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment (e.g., battery cyclers, thermal chambers, DAQ systems).
  • Assist in the development and execution of standard test procedures (STPs) as per IEC/ISO automotive standards (e.g., IEC 62133, IEC 62840, etc.).
  • Monitor, collect, and analyze test data, and generate detailed technical reports.
  • Collaborate with design and systems teams to support product development cycles.
  • Ensure lab safety protocols and compliance with internal and external safety standards.
  • Support integration and testing of battery swapping systems and charging infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot issues in test setups and instrumentation.
  • Assist in the development of new testing capabilities and automation systems.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduate to 1 years of hands-on experience in an R&D or testing lab (preferably in EV, automotive, or battery testing).
  • Familiarity with electric vehicle architecture, battery management systems (BMS), and power electronics.
  • Experience with data acquisition software and tools (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
  • Understanding of international EV and battery safety/testing standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and documentation abilities.
