Job Title: Senior Field Officer and M&E – Sustainable Cotton Programs

Location: Khuzdar, Balochistan, Pakistan (On-site)

Role Overview:

Sapphire Pakistan, in collaboration with WWF Pakistan, is spearheading an Organic Cotton Farming Project to promote sustainable agricultural practices and responsibly manufactured textiles. As the project advances with farm conversions and farmer training, we seek a digitally savvy Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator based in Balochistan.

The role involves field and farmer coordination, implementation oversight, coordination with ginner and procurement teams, and support for certification and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct verification visits and field inspections to ensure organic farming protocols are followed, assess implementation quality, and fulfill reporting obligations.
  • Validate the credibility of collected data, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Identify non-conformities and support corrective actions.
  • Analyze agronomic, economic, and social indicators and present findings in reports.
  • Provide feedback to project managers for continuous improvement, highlighting risks and capacity needs.
  • Act as a liaison with third-party digital agriculture agencies to facilitate surveys, oversee data digitization, and validate insights.
  • Coordinate procurement planning and monitor field activities.
  • Conduct quality checks on cotton and validate field claims.
  • Lead documentation for certification requirements.
  • Compile project progress and work logs.

Candidate Profile and Requirements:

  • 3–4 years of experience in sustainability, agriculture, or project coordination.
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Residence in or familiarity with Balochistan's landscape and culture.
  • Proficiency in digital tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience coordinating with stakeholders and service providers.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Willingness to relocate if necessary.
  • Ability to engage with farmers and teams on-site, requiring frequent travel.
