  • To provide input to the Head - Global Business Operations, in the development of the strategy and operational plan for the Trade Governance Department, keeping view the overarching objectives of the Bank within the domain of Trade Finance, frameworks adopted by peer banks, and ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements related to Trade Finance operations.
  • To lead the development and implementation of policies, controls, and protocols related to Trade Operations across the Bank, and ensuring that all Trade Finance Hubs adopt a standardized approach to executing transactions, reporting, risk management, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • To regularly assess any gaps in the Trade Governance framework in light of changes in regulatory requirements, or the Bank's overarching objectives and policies.
  • To lead the preparation, updating, and revision of policies and procedures of Trade Operations.
  • To recommend decisions in deviation and exceptional cases related to Trade Operations, where policy parameters/SOP's are breached, or extenuating circumstances require intervention.
  • To periodically undertake visits to Trade Hubs, in order to assess the ground-level factors impacting the Trade Governance framework.
  • To oversee the execution of operational processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • To provide guidance and support to the Trade Governance team, in order to ensure that all operations within the department are carried out in the highest standards
