Position Overview

1. QA/QC Seismic Data Acquisition Geophysicist (Onshore)

• You will own quality assurance and control for onshore seismic campaigns in Pakistan, ensuring data integrity, enforcing safety standards and optimizing workflows from planning through delivery.

2. QA/QC Seismic Data Acquisition Geophysicist (Offshore)

• You will lead QA/QC processes for offshore seismic operations, managing field inspections, audits and real-time data validation to deliver precision results under marine conditions.

3. Consultant Geophysicist (E&P Surveys)

• You will design and oversee 2D, 3D and 4D seismic surveys for exploration and production projects, interpret subsurface data, guide survey teams and integrate geophysical insights into strategic decisions.

Common Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end seismic survey or QC workflows in 2D, 3D and 4D projects.
• Review, validate and analyze seismic data for accuracy, integrity and quality.
• Deploy and supervise Vibroseis and Dynamite source methodologies.
• Conduct field inspections and real-time audits to enforce QA/QC protocols.
• Provide technical training and support on procedures and instrumentation.
• Prepare detailed technical reports with findings, corrective actions and recommendations.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of seismic acquisition experience, including at least 12 years in QC or leadership roles.
• Proven track record on 10 or more 2D, 3D or 4D seismic projects.
• Hands-on experience with Vibroseis and Dynamite across multiple surveys.
• Valid HSE certifications (IOSH, OSHA, CSP, IEMA, NEBOSH).
• Proficient with Trimble Geomatics Office or equivalent geospatial platforms.
• Familiar with non-seismic surveys (gravity, magnetic, MT).
• Ability to leverage QC tools for real-time data validation and reporting.
• Submission of client satisfaction letters in English on official letterhead.

Role-Specific Requirements

Onshore Geophysicist

• Must live within a 1.5-hour commute of Karachi, Pakistan.
• Exposure to transition zone QC projects highly desirable.
• Completion of Land Seismic Operations Management and Total Quality Management courses.

Offshore Geophysicist

• Minimum of 5 offshore or transition zone QC assignments completed.
• Completion of Offshore Operations Management and Total Quality Management courses.
• Proven ability to work safely in demanding marine environments.

Consultant Geophysicist (E&P)

• Minimum 12 years of E&P seismic survey experience.
• Led at least 8 seismic projects as team lead.
• Managed 6 or more Vibroseis and 6 or more Dynamite projects.
• Experience with procurement of geoscience and geophysical services.
• Skilled in interpretation platforms (Petrel, Kingdom) and office productivity suites.

Client Interaction Requirements

• Provide client satisfaction letters in English for completed acquisition projects.
• Letters must be on official company letterhead, signed, and stamped.

Skills & Working Conditions

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work outdoors in variable terrain and travel as required.
