Position: Sr. Executive Network Planning - Financial Analysis

Location: Islamabad

Reporting to: Deputy Director Network Planning

Job Type: Permanent

Job Purpose:

  • Conduct comprehensive end-to-end financial analysis to assess whether the anticipated benefits of investments have been realized. Identify and analyze discrepancies between projected and actual benefits and document lessons learned to enhance future planning and investment efficiency.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to management regarding Capital Expenditure (Capex) investments based on thorough financial analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and assess the return on investment (ROI) for all capital expenditures including nominals and expansion projects planned for the fiscal year, including adjustments based on updated cost factors.
  • Perform detailed financial evaluations of projects within Radio Access Network, Transmission, Power, and Core domains, including thorough analysis and reporting of findings.
  • Evaluate and support the financial analysis of the fixed line business, including the assessment of ROI for related projects and initiatives
  • Lead and support digitalization projects by providing financial analysis and recommendations to drive efficiency and investment accuracy
  • Conduct financial evaluations and analyses of Universal Service Fund (USF) lots in collaboration with relevant peer departments
  • Assess and support the financial requirements of Cell on Wheels (COW) sites, including pre and post-investment financial analysis in coordination with peer departments and regional teams
  • Continuously optimize the ROI evaluation process by researching and implementing innovative evaluation methodologies
  • Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by management to support organizational goal

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

  • ACCA, CIMA, CA or MBA Finance from a renowned university.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably within the telecom sector.

Skills – Generic:

  • Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills Proficiency in negotiation, conflict management, and vendor management
  • Expertise in project management, reporting, control, and database management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage pressure effectively
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Skills – Job Specific:

  • In-depth knowledge of telecom technical domains and their financial implications.
  • Proficiency in financial evaluation techniques, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) methods for ROI analysis.
  • Ability to report results effectively, analyze inputs, and negotiate with stakeholders to align with organizational goals.
