Sr. Manager

· Management of data center, including, but not limited to, installation, configuration, fault management, troubleshooting, maintenance, replacement, expansion and renovation, when necessary, periodic upgrades and improvements when required, of hardware, Servers, SAN, telecommunication infrastructure and networks (cabling and wireless infrastructure, inter-building links, links to external networks and the equipment on which the network operates), generators and power infrastructure including UPS, air conditioning, air purification, fire suppression and other equipment, to ensure the ongoing suitability of the facilities.
· Security of data center, networks, infrastructure, associated IT systems, software applications and integrity of data by: preventing DDoS attacks; deploying Intrusion detection systems; blocking of any server posing threat to Data Center computing resources or Internet; pre-empting unauthorized physical access through security cameras, and key cards; controlling environmental conditions; preventing and suppressing fire; applying recommended security updates, patches and restrictions to harden Operating System; implementing security policies, according to industry accepted international best practices; Implementing SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solution to deal with real-time monitoring, correlation of events, notifications for User or malicious activity detections; conducting security audits for exploring weakness in Servers, Networks, Operating Systems and Software Applications.
· Audit of SOP's and Application Processes to acquire immunity to social engineering attacks.
· Contact with third party vendors to resolve technical issues.
· Remote access through wireless and mobile computing.
· Assistance in the deployment of connectivity through Internet and Data Links, provision of secure access to remote offices through VPN / Intranet and liaison with external Service Providers.
· Placement of all network connections on the Layer 3 Switches in separate virtual Local Area Network (vLAN) for the customer's subnet, accessible via high-end redundant, automatic failover switches and firewalls and maintenance of hardware and Firmware upgrades and patches for the network devices.
· Notification of unanticipated power or network issues to the Customer and their resolution.
· Maintenance of workstations, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT related hardware deployed at various offices of the Customer.
· Installation, configuration, fault management and troubleshooting of Operating System, application software, biometric access control system, video surveillance system.

DISASTER RECOVERY AND BUSINESS CONTINUITY:
· Develop and implement Business Continuity Plan (BCP) / Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
· Management of highly redundant Storage Area Network (SAN) at primary and metro sites to act as a local storage device and stand-by server in the event of server failure.
· Data Back-up / Restoration.
· Synchronous replication of data from Primary site to Metro site at both Data Centers.
· Asynchronous replication of data from Metro sites to Primary sites and Vice versa.
· Recovery of data with previous day's data, being the most current, from offsite, in the event of total catastrophe, where servers and SAN on site are lost.
· Emergency automatic fail over to active/active / hot site.
· Recovery of data systems and networks in aftermath of disruption.
· Maintenance of a NOC Area Services Desk as the single point of contact for the Customer for general service inquiries, incident reports, etc. which shall be assigned a number and a severity / priority level.

Required Skills
· Must have at least 70% marks or 3 + CGPA in Masters in Computer Science in Computer/Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, from some reputed foreign or HEC-recognized institution.
· Must have proficiency in current enterprise server hardware, operating systems, security systems, data center and distributed operations.
· Must have expertise in IT virtual technologies and other IT Green technologies.
· Must have experience in designing, planning and managing state of the art data center.
· Must have at least one of CCIE/CCNP/CCNA/CCIP/CCVP/CCSP/CCDA/RHCE/MCSA or equivalent certifications in other market renowned ICT relevant platforms/solutions.
· Certification in virtualization and experience in Cloud Computing.
· Certified security specialist preferred.
· Must have at least 10 years hands-on post-qualification experience in Network Administration, with a reputed IT organization, including at least 3 years' experience in planning, designing, configuration, development, deployment, modification, administration, maintenance, monitoring, performance optimization and implementation of security policies, procedures and best practices of complex, wired and wireless/radio technology, local area network (LAN), metropolitan area networks (MAN), VSAT network, extranets, intranets, protocols (TCP/IP, remote access, network services (COS, Policy Based Networking, etc) audio and video transport, using Cisco Suite & other manufacturers.
· Must have extensive expertise in Infrastructure Servers, Active Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP, Proxy, and Threat Management Gateway (TMG) Server, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems, Server Forms, Load balancing, SAN & NAS devices, etc.
· Configuration & Deployment experience of Network Monitoring Systems.
· Must have high proficiency in Windows/Linux/Unix based mission critical web/application/database servers.
· Fully aware and experienced in Data Center infrastructure i.e. cooling system, generators, UPS etc.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
· Eagerness to mentor junior staff.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
· Strong understanding of Network layout and design desirable.
· Ability to make critical decisions.
· Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems.
· Over five years' hands-on experience of designing/managing Data Centers.
· Experience of working on Microsoft/Linux/Virtualization platform as well as networking/security devices.
· MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Project skills and knowledge of Project Management Methodology practices is essential.
· Must be quick in identifying problems and take corrective steps to resolve the issues.
· Must have very good communication, leadership and team management skills.
· Must have strong work ethics.
