Role Purpose:

The role is responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards across Coats Pakistan. This includes maintaining the Environmental Management System, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, overseeing audits and corrective actions, engaging with external stakeholders such as regulatory bodies and brands, and supporting corporate responsibility initiatives in line with Coats Group policies and global standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Environment Management System in Pakistan, including noise and other emissions, identify legal requirements in social and environmental compliance and ensure Coats facility is following those requirements.
• Ensure all Environment incidents/near misses are correctly reported to the cluster Compliance & CR Manager, through Intelex and other channels.
• Make certain that reporting to the group and the local Environment Protection Bureau is correct and on time.
• Represent Coats for local Environment Protection Bureau meetings, meeting local laws, Coats prescribed standards, ZDHC, ZWTL and other milestones as prescribed.
• With the support of the chemical officer, update the Chemical Inventory List for Coats Pakistan.
• Ensure Material Safety Data Sheets are up to date and labels are aligned with the requirements of the Globally Harmonized System.
• Ensure Coats Pakistan Sites comply with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Conduct CR internal audit and drive a corrective action plan.
• Coordinate brands and other external CR audits for Coats Pakistan and drive the implementation of corrective actions.
• Deliver supplier code audit, complete audit report and drive corrective action plans.
• Drive the Community Engagement program in Pakistan.
• Support Cluster Compliance and CR Manager, deliver other CR projects.
• Ensure ESG Reporting, as per Coats Group requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Textile Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 to 8 years of proven experience in a Compliance Manager role or a similar capacity.
• In-depth understanding of industry-specific processes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of local environmental laws and regulations relevant to the textile industry.
• Excellent proficiency in compliance reporting procedures and systematic record keeping.
• Certified Lead Auditor in Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
