Director (Security Operations Center - SOC)

Job Location: Islamabad

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors (4 Years) in Computer Science/Information Security/Cyber Security or equivalent.
• Masters in Cyber Security/Information Security will be preferred.
• Degrees must be recognized and attested by HEC.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 10 years post-graduation experience in a reputable organization.
• Strong background in cybersecurity, including experience with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), digital forensic lab management, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system.
• Certification in CISM will be preferred.
• Responsible for overseeing implementation, management, and continuous improvement of critical security functions.
• In-depth knowledge of service operations and infrastructure, including cloud platforms, networks, and endpoint systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for the SOC in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Oversee development and execution of incident response plans, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to mitigate security incidents promptly.
• Supervise SOC analysts, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to enhance the team's skills and capabilities.
• Lead implementation and optimization of Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms to streamline security operations processes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into service operations and infrastructure projects.
• Oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of cyber threat intelligence to support proactive threat hunting and incident response activities.
• Define standard operating procedures (SOPs) for forensic analysis, evidence preservation, and chain of custody management.
• Develop and maintain playbooks and automation workflows to improve incident response times and reduce manual effort.
• Lead the overhaul and modernization of the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system to improve visibility, correlation, and alerting capabilities.
• Provide leadership and direction to SOC team, ensuring efficient and effective operation of security monitoring and incident response activities.
• Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, integrating threat intelligence into SOC operations for proactive defense.

Terms & Conditions:

1. Selected candidate will be hired initially for a contract period of 5 years (extendable if required).
2. Management reserves the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason.

4. Candidate shall be disqualified if false information is provided.
5. Employees serving in Government/Semi-Government departments must provide/attach No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of submission of application.
6. 5 years' relaxation in age is already included in above age limit.
7. Selected candidate shall provide Medical Fitness and Character Certificates.
8. No TA/DA will be admissible.
9. Attested degrees from Higher Education Commission (HEC)/relevant regulatory bodies must be provided at the time of interview.
