Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Dispatcher with prior logistics experience to manage routes, assign loads, and communicate with drivers. The ideal candidate is familiar with DOT regulations and has strong knowledge of trucking lanes and freight markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign loads to drivers and ensure timely deliveries
  • Monitor and track driver progress using dispatch software
  • Negotiate rates with brokers and ensure profitable hauls
  • Handle emergency and route change situations promptly
  • Maintain compliance with all transportation laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of truck dispatching experience
  • Proficiency with TMS or dispatch platforms (e.g., DAT, Truckstop)
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Understanding of load boards, rate confirmations, and compliance
  • Experience with load boards (DAT, Truckstop, 123Loadboard)
  • Familiarity with ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices)
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance and HOS (Hours of Service) rules
  • Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish often preferred)
  • Experience with dispatch software (McLeod, Samsara, KeepTruckin, etc.)
  • Ability to handle 5–10 drivers simultaneously
