Role Overview:

We are seeking an Optical Engineer to design and develop advanced optical subsystems for high-performance imaging and tracking applications. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for lens system design, component selection, and integration into precision hardware operating in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and simulate optical systems using software like Zemax or Code V.
• Perform optical tolerance, thermal, and stray light analyses.
• Select materials and coatings for lenses and optical domes suitable for harsh operating conditions.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electronics teams for system-level integration.
• Support prototyping, alignment, and environmental testing of optical assemblies.

Qualifications:

• B.S/M.S. in Optical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong foundation in lens design, ray tracing, and optical simulation.
• Experience with IR-compatible materials and precision optical alignment.
• Familiarity with environmental testing (thermal, vibration, shock) is a plus.
