About the Role

We are seeking a Mobile QA Engineer to join our growing mobile product team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing native Android and iOS applications to ensure performance, security, and reliability across the full app lifecycle. You'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and infrastructure teams to validate features, catch bugs early, and maintain a high standard of quality. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on mobile testing experience and a passion for creating seamless user experiences in a FinTech environment.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution

• Design and execute manual and automated test cases for mobile apps on Android and iOS
• Validate app functionality, UI/UX, and responsiveness across devices and OS versions
• Ensure proper test coverage for new features, regression, and edge cases
• Collaborate with developers to define and implement test strategies from day one

Bug Tracking & Reporting

• Identify, log, and track bugs through to resolution using tools like Jira
• Write clear, reproducible bug reports and test documentation
• Participate in code reviews and requirement grooming to anticipate risks early

Mobile-Specific Testing

• Test offline mode features, caching, local storage, and network resilience
• Perform testing for API integrations and mobile app security
• Support testing across various mobile device simulators and physical devices
• Conduct pre-release validation using tools like TestFlight (iOS) and internal builds (Android)

Automation & CI/CD Support

• Develop or contribute to test automation scripts using frameworks like Espresso, XCUITest, or Appium
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps and developers
• Monitor and maintain test environments and automation stability

Quality Culture & Continuous Improvement

• Advocate for quality at all stages of development
• Suggest improvements in testing processes and tooling
• Stay current on mobile testing best practices, tools, and platform updates

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Experience:

• 3+ years of hands-on QA experience, with a strong focus on native mobile apps (Android and iOS)
• Experience testing mobile apps integrated with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with tools such as Xcode, Android Studio, Charles Proxy, and Postman
• Experience using TestFlight, Google Play Console, and crash/error reporting tools

Skills:

• Solid understanding of mobile app lifecycles and release processes
• Experience writing and executing detailed test cases and bug reports
• Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Proficient with Git and working within CI/CD workflows

Advantages:
