Creative Head (Graphic Designer)

As a graphic designer, you will be required to work on a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising campaigns, computer games, corporate communications, and corporate identity, i.e. giving organizations a visual 'brand'.

You'll work to a brief agreed with the client or the project manager and will develop creative ideas and concepts. The appropriate media and style have to be chosen to meet the client's objectives.

The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software, and a professional approach to time, costs, and deadlines.

You may need to manage more than one design brief at a time, and typical activities include:

  • Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients;
  • Developing design briefs that suit the client's purpose;
  • Liaising with clients to determine their requirements and budget;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the design process;
  • Participating in the development process from definition, through design, build, test, release, and maintenance;
  • Developing intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions and visual designs for mobile;
  • Staying abreast of UX trends and looking for creative ideas and inspiration in parallel analogous worlds;
  • Researching and tracking advancements in mobile application design patterns;
  • Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;
  • Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients or account managers;
  • Working with a range of media and keeping up to date with emerging technologies;
  • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
  • Possessing an understanding of Android and iOS user interfaces and ecosystems to aid in the downloading, installation, content display, and use of mobile applications;
  • Monitoring the quality of visual and written content on all mobile applications.
Job Specification
  • College degree or equivalent experience;
  • 3-4 years of experience consulting with clients on the design of mobile apps;
  • Proficient with Attendify, CrowdCompass, DoubleDutch, etc., or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of HTML and basic graphic skills;
  • Possess strong technical and data management skills.
